Ishaqzaade Bagged By Sony Music

The digital music rights of Yash Raj film, "Ishaqzaade" has been taken by Sony Music Entertainment. The film is one of the most anticipated films of the year and stars Arjun Kapoor (son of Boney Kapoor) and Parineeti Chopra, who made her debut in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl. The film is directed by Habib Faisal who also directed Do Dooni Chaar and wrote the script of Band Baaja Baaraat. The film is a story of two people who hate each other to a great extent only to fall in love later on.

Amit Trivedi is the music director of the film and the lyrics are penned down by Kausar Munir and the duo has given some great flavor to the music of the film. The album contains five original songs and two remixes revolving on a variety of themes. Track "Aafaton Ke Parinde" will digitally hit floors on 4th April 2012. The album will be digitally released on April 12. The combination of Sony Music with the album will see it using its complete digital delivery bandwidth for offering audio and visual content of the film on cell phone and other internet based platform.

Commenting on the alliance, Sanujeet Bhujabal, Marketing Director Of Sony Music India said that Amit Trivedi has got great taste of music and the director has got tremendous potential. He further added that the music of the film will appeal to all age groups and the company expects a great response from music lovers. The songs have been sung by singers like Vishal Dadlani, Suraj Jagan, Shreya Ghosal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Javed Ali. The movie will hit theaters on May 18, 2012.
